Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding is a measure within an area of space to attenuate field strengths caused by certain sources. In most cases, the shield can be made of metals such as expanded copper mesh, aluminum expanded mesh, etc., but for constant and very low frequency magnetic fields, materials such as ferrite can also be used as shields.
